Start of Season
Dear Piranhas,
I am attaching the practice lists for at least the next 4 weeks. Since the league requires that any document or sections of the websites with swimmers information has to be password protected you will need to log in to see it If this is your first time logging in or have never logged in here is the procedure:
1. Click on Sign In
2. E-mail Address (the one you registered with or gave at registration)
3. First time Password: Piranhas84
4. You will then be requested to create a new password
Of course I do not have to remind you that you need to not give this password out to anyone. It is for the safety of your child’s safety that NWAL requires this. If you gave more than one e-mail each parent can have a different password.
Please take the time to answer the poll on the website. We are looking into all possible ways to communicate quickly and efficiently.
Please try and make as many practices as possible. Please be prepared for either type of practice each day.
Regular Practice - swim suit, goggles, towel, and drink that can be left by pool side (water or sports drink)
Dry Land Practice (exercise such as running, push-ups, etc) - shorts or warm-ups, shirt or sweatshirt, towel, and drink
I know the weather will be an issue at time so here is our policy:
1. If the pool is too cold to get into - Dry land practice will take place.
2. There are several things that happen if rain is an issue:
A. If during practice:
1. If coaches can see the bottom of pool and there is no lighting or thunder practice will continue.
2. If there is lighting and thunder occurs during practice swimmers will be removed from the pool and if possible dry land will continue in a safe area. If storm is to strong and the safety of everyone is an issue than practice will be cancelled
B. Before practice – The board and the coaches will determine if practice can be delayed, altered, or cancelled. We will inform you through website, text, e-mail, on Facebook, and/or Twitter (do not have Twitter account yet).
You know your children the best and if you do not feel that it is in their best interest to be at practice then by all means keep them at home.
If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to call or e-mail us.
E-mail: [email protected]
Phone calls: see website contact page.
Sincerely,
Swim Team Board and Coaches
