Results and Meet Information
Piranhas,
Results from the meet are now posted onto the website. We have a total of 34 swimmers now qualified for a total of 111 events, the number of swimmers is now equal to that of last year. We still have three meets left to qualify for the Invitationals which we have quite a few that are within 5/6 seconds away from qualifying.
Parents if you have a question about a Disqualification please talk to the coaches not the officials. The only ones who can protest a Disqualification is the Team Representative to the Meet Referee.
In the NWAL Rule book under section L. Protest and Disciplinary Actions it states that:
1. Protests against judgment decisions of starters, stroke, turn, and relay takeoff judges shall only be considered by the Meet Referee, who has the authority to disqualify swimmers for any violation of the rules that he personally observes.
2. Any other protest arising from the competition itself shall be made to the Meet Referee prior to the completion of the meet. If the protest is not resolved immediately, the protesting Team Representative may, within 36 hours, file a written protest accompanied by $100 to their Division Representative or to a League Officer for Board adjudication at the earliest possible time which shall then be binding on all parties. Any monies received with protest are non-refundable unless the protest is resolved in favor of the protestor.
Please understand that the Officials are being as fair as possible and it is not the job of the parents to question it. If you have a question about a DQ please see the Coaches and Team Representative first do not go to the officials. This can be considered unsportsmanlike conduct and you could be removed from the meet by the Meet Referee.
