    Practice Schedule Till Summer

    Piranhas,

Attached is the new practice list for the updated team. There are mainly changes to only the Second-Third practices. If you do not see your swimmers name on the sheet please let us know. This will be the practice schedule for the rest of May.

Make sure your swimmers are staying hydrated, as the summer draws closer it will start to get hotter both in the pool as well as out of the pool. The swimmers sweat a lot without realizing it since they are surrounded by water, this means they will not know when they need to be drinking water or when they are starting to get dehydrated. The best thing to do is to drink about 20oz 30 minutes before coming to practice then drink water in small amounts throughout practice. Drinking a sports drink like gatorade or powerade will also help the swimmers in replacing the electrolytes lost during a workout.

If your swimmer was not present at Time Trials they will need to get times this week by Wednesday night for the Meet on the 14th. Also we would just like to remind everyone that if you are not going to be able to make the meet please fill out a vacation form letting the coaches know what meets you will not be able to attend. If your swimmer wants to be on a relay they must attend a minimum of two practices a week in order to be eligible to be on a relay. This is because if they do not show up to practice the coaches will not know if they will be at the meet, as well as being unfair for those swimmers who show up to most of the practices. Not everyone will be guaranteed a spot on a relay due to the amount of people we have in each age group, however the coaches will try to give everyone at least one relay each meet if possible.

If you have any questions or concerns please let us know.
