Divisionals - PLEASE READ THE WHOLE E-MAIL

    Dear Parents,

This Saturday is our last meet of the season.  For our new families Divisionals is where all 6 teams in our division come together to swim for the Championship.  The are several important things to know about this meet.

    1.  Participation - NWAL rules for participation in the Divisional Meet:

    A.  A swimmer has to be participate in at least 2 Dual Meets

    B.  A swimmer has to have an official time - from a dual meet that is not with a DQ.

    2. Parking - Only those with a pass will be allowed to park in the Civic Center parking lot. Everyone will have to park over at Lieder Elementary or Watkins Middle School.  You may drop off in the horseshoe driveway.

    3.  We have to swim all 80 events rain or shine - If it starts raining depending on how hard or if there is lighting and thunder.  It will be very important to listen to the announcements.

    A. if it is lightly raining or moderately raining and there is not lightning and thunder the officials will decide if it is safe to keep swimming. if they can see the bottom of the pool they will possible keep swimming.

    B. If there is lightning and thunder we will have to stop the meet until the lightning and thunder stops. the rule is to wait for 30 min. We will continue once the officials feel it is safe.

    4.  I have attached the time line if everything runs smoothly we will finish at 5 PM. Please make sure your family is staying hydrated and eat properly. It will be very important to stay and help clean up after the meet is over.  We will all be very tired and we have to leave the pool area clean.

    5.  Heat sheets - The division decided not to sell heat sheets.  I have attached a copy of the heat sheet for you to print at home and bring with you.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask a board member.

    Sincerely,

    GCST Board.
